A premium meal delivery service offering chef-prepared meals designed for convenience, quality, and variety.
I partnered with the team to audit and refine their website experience—identifying key friction points and redesigning the homepage to improve clarity, strengthen messaging, and drive more intentional user action.
The Challenge
Despite offering a strong product, the website wasn’t clearly communicating its value. Users were landing on the homepage without a clear understanding of what Evergourmet offers, who it’s for, or why it stands out.
The experience lacked structure and hierarchy, with scattered messaging and weak calls to action, making it difficult to scan, navigate, or take the next step.
Visually, the site also didn’t reflect the premium quality of the brand creating a disconnect between the product experience and the digital experience.
Working within the constraints of the existing Shopify theme, the challenge was to improve clarity, strengthen the experience, and guide users toward conversion without a full custom rebuild.
The Strategic Audit
I conducted a full UX, UI, and content audit across key pages to identify what was working, what wasn’t, and where the biggest opportunities for improvement were.
This included evaluating:
Homepage messaging and value proposition clarity
CTA placement, visibility, and effectiveness
Navigation structure and user flow
Content hierarchy and readability
Mobile responsiveness and layout behavior
All findings were organized into a clear, actionable roadmap, prioritized by impact and ease of implementation, so the team could confidently move forward with improvements.
The Website Refresh
Following the audit, I was brought in to redesign an implement a new homepage experience aligned with the strategy.
This wasn’t just a visual update, it was a full structural rethink of how users move through the page.
Key improvements included:
Reworking the homepage flow to guide users logically from awareness to action
Strengthening the hero section with clearer, more direct messaging
Introducing stronger, more consistent calls to action
Simplifying and restructuring content for better readability
Creating a more cohesive and elevate visual system
Optimizing spacing, layout, and responsiveness across devices
The goal was to reduce friction, improve clarity, and make the path to conversion feel natural and intuitive.
The Website Evolution
Original homepage
The original homepage lacked clear hierarchy and direction, with scattered messaging and weak calls to action. Key information was difficult to find, and the overall flow didn’t support how users naturally scan and engage with content.
Visually, the design felt inconsistent and didn’t reflect the premium nature of the bran, making it harder to build trust with new users.
Redesigned homepage
The redesigned homepage introduces a clear, structured flow with stronger messaging and more intentional calls to action.
Built within the constraints of the existing Shopify theme, the approach focused on optimizing layout, hierarchy, an content rather than a fully custom redesign, resulting in a more streamlined, effective user experience.
