Overview

A Toronto-based wellness and adventure brand offering curated day trips that make it easier for people to get outside, reset, and connect.

The goal for Day Rips was to create a brand and website that felt elevated, grounded, and easy to trust, while clearly communicating what it is, what makes it different, and how to book.

The Challenge

Day Rips had a strong concept and a clear emotional pull, but needed a digital presence that could fully bring the idea to life. The challenge was to create a website and brand system that captured the feeling behind the experience while also making the offer easy to understand and easy to book.

The website needed to:

  • Clearly explain what a Day Rip is and who it's for

  • Balance adventure, wellness, and social connection without feeling overly corporate or overly "retreat"

  • Build trust through strong visuals, thoughtful flow, and clear messaging

  • Support bookings through a simple, intuitive Shopify experience

  • Make trip offerings feel exciting, organized, and worth committing to


This project blended brand direction, UX strategy, and Shopify implementation to shape a full customer experience from first impression to booking.

The Approach

The approach focused on three key areas:

1. Clarifying the offer

Since Day Rips is a newer concept for many people, the website needed to quickly answer: What is this? Who is it for? Why would I book?

2. Designing for feeling and trust

The brand had to feel adventurous and grounding, social and elevated, with a visual direction that felt human, editorial, and experience-led.

3. Making booking feel easy

The site was built to reduce friction with clear navigation, product-based trip listings, intuitive calls to action, and a checkout flow tailored to the experience.


Day Rips needed a brand that captured the feeling of adventure, connection, and reset, while still feeling elevated and easy to trust.

​The direction focused on balancing nature, movement, and community with a clean, confident visual system that could scale across web, social, and future experiences.

The Result
